Technological change is rapid and difficult to perceive. It brings new means of organizing work, doing creative work and finding audiences for the creative sector. In has a strong effect on cultural intermediaries and creative workers, their tools, income logistics, creative content and means on consuming.
Creathon ESF boosts creative sector by increasing technological competences and finding new ways to deepen the connection between creative and ICT sectors in the educational structures of universities of applied sciences.
The targets groups of Creathon-project are:
1) creative professionals, 2) cultural sector and ICT sector educators and final stage students and 3) ICT companies and associations.
The Actions:
The Actions in this project are divided in 3 working packages:
The first working package focuses on strengthening co-work of creative and ICT -sector professionals (both working professionals and educators) and building Creathon-model. The model is based on facilitated meetings where cultural intermediaries and ICT professionals in working life and educational sector and end-stage students meet in CreathonCore-forums that focus on finding new solutions on using ICT in the cultural sector in order to develop new services and products and provide educators necessary skills to facilitate Creathons.
The second working package focuses on testing Creathon model in wider regional contexts together with ICT and
Creative sector students, entrepreneurs and other actors. The testing is done in regional Creathons that are tailored
for each region.
The third working package focuses on strengthening roots of Creathon model to basic work of educational sector. This
is supported by materials that are collected during the firs and second working packages. A key element is finding new
ways of starting education that is done combining several universities that will continue ICT – creative sector co-work in
the future as part of creative sector education and/or open higher level education.
